About GasChem Services

GasChem Services GmbH & Co. KG was established in the year 1990. Personal liable shareholder is the Beteiligungsgesellschaft GasChem Services mbH which is headed by the Managing Directors, Capt. Michael Kordes and Thomas Schmidt. GasChem Services is part of the Hartmann Group of Leer. The object of the company is the business development, marketing and managing of gas tankers, in particular the commercial management of the tonnage controlled by the partners, the takeover and conclusion of gas and chemical contracts of affreightment and the chartering of additional tonnage if necessary for the fulfilment of contract obligations. GasChem Services is manager of the German/Italian joint venture GasChem-Gasmare Pool.

Delivery of 6.500 cbm LPG/E "GasChem Rhone" into pool management. Sale of LPG/E "Elbegas" & LPG/E "GasChem Leda".
2007

Delivery of 6.500 cbm LPG/E "GasChem Shinano", LPG/E "GasChem Mosel" and LPG/E "GasChem Leda" into pool management.
2006
>>> Jadegas changed name to GasChem Jade. Harpain Shipping of Hamburg concludes a newbuilding contract for 4 x 17.000 cbm Ethylene tanker with Germany based Meyer Shipyard for delivery 2009/2010.

Hartmann Schiffahrt concludes a newbuilding contract for 3 x 8.500 cbm Ethylene tankers with Severnav Shipyard for delivery in 2008. Sale of s/r Emsgas which left the pool during second quarter. Hartmann Group of Leer acquires Ahrenkiel shares and is now single shareholder of GasChem Services

Delivery of 10.500 cbm LPG/E "GasChem Snow" and LPG/E "GasChem Ice" into pool management as of February. Delivery of 22.800 cbm "Queen Zenobia" into commercial management.
2005
>>> Fleet composition unchanged. 9 vessels change name to prefix "GasChem ...". Hartmann Schiffahrt concludes newbuilding contract for 4 x 6.500 cbm Ethylene tanker with Severnav Shipyard for delivery 2006/2007. Harpain Shipping acquires 2 x 10.500 cbm second-hand Ethylene tankers for delivery into the pool in first quarter 2006. Hartmann takes over GEBAB shares.

>>> Start of GasChem-Medgas Pool with 19 GasChem and 9 Medgas vessels. Operation from marketing centres in Hamburg and Milan. Harpain Shipping of Hamburg entered pool with 2 Ethylene carriers. Increased press. tanker fleet to 3 vessels.

>>> Operation with 15 gas tankers. 2 Ethylene tankers of Rigel Schiffahrt of Bremen entered pool.

>>> Operation with 14 gas tankers. GEBAB entered pool with 1 Ethylene tanker under management of Bernhard Schulte, Hamburg. Start of cooperation with Navigazione Montanari of Fano, mainly in Mediterranean contract business.
