05.10.2009 : Exercise with LPG/P "DANUBEGAS"

Teams of the "Havariekommando" (German Central Command of Maritime Emergencies), Hartmann Reederei and Dow Chemical Company practised a towage exercise on board the LPG-carrier LPG/P "DANUBEGAS" for the case of an emergency. The "Havariekommando" used its multipurpose towage vessel, GS "Neuwerk", to tow the LPG/P "DANUBEGAS", which for the duration of the exercise pretended to be unable to manoeuvre.

The exercise took place on Wednesday, 23rd September, close to the island of Helgoland. It is part of a series of exercises that are be conducted among the three cooperating partners.
